What’s up blog world? Blame my trustworthy internet for the lack of posts lately. I figured I would spread the word on a few more new artists for you to jam to on this relaxing Sunday afternoon. This past August I was lucky enough to witness another one of Seattle’s rising stars live in Pullman for the annual Cougfest back to school celebration. The concert featured Macklemore, and the Blue Scholars just to name a few. There were estimated over four thousand students that took in the free live concert, which was absolutely filthy. There was so much energy from the crowd; it was a really tight experience to be a part of. I remember walking up to the show being stoked to see the Scholars do their thing, having no clue who the opening act would be. Yet, I left the concert being more influenced by the opening act than the Scholars or Macklemore. SOL, aka Seattle’s Prince, absolutely stole the show. His lyrics really do preach the truth that real people really can relate to. At only 22 years of age, Sol has been making a lot of noise around Seattle for the last eight years. It’s only a matter of time until the rest of the world hears this talented musician. He has two mixtapes that are available for free download on his website, http://solsays.com/ which I highly recommend you check out. I’ll leave you with a couple of his songs for you to judge. Be easy world.
